Complex Spine Surgery
The Division of Spinal Neurosurgery includes two, full-time board-certified and fellowship-trained attending physicians. We are dedicated to treating patients with spine disorders, including benign and malignant tumors and spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis.
We have a patient-centric, multi-disciplinary approach that includes neurologists, pain management physicians, physical therapists, oncologists, and other practitioners, allowing physicians-in-training to collaborate with vrious providers from different specialites who focus on spine health.
Our program's broad scope includes maximally invasive deformity correction procedures that are staged over two days to minimally invasive techniques such as percutaneous pedicle screw fixation as well as interbody stabilization. Adjunct procedures such as balloon kyphoplasty and spinal stereotactic radiotherapy round out the procedures offered. We perform intraoperative x-rays and CT scans to provide our patients with the best spine care.
Education and Research
Spine Board meets bimonthly to review complex problems in a multidisciplinary approach. Our close relationship with Dr. Avinash Patwardhan and his lab offers residents and physicians-in-training an opportunity to participate in innovative research. Learn more about joining a Spine Board Conference.
