Master of Arts in Healthcare Mission Leadership
The鈥 Master of Arts in Healthcare Mission Leadership 鈥offers professional preparation for senior leaders in a healthcare environment responsible for developing, enhancing, cultivating, and protecting the identity and mission of their organizations.鈥 This interdisciplinary, online program is offered by the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Healthcare Leadership at the Stritch School of Medicine, the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, and the Institute of Pastoral Studies. It integrates courses from theology, spirituality, bioethics, organizational development, and leadership to offer a well-rounded degree to meet the needs of Catholic hospitals and health systems throughout the world.

Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to meet the鈥疌ompetencies for Mission Leaders outlined by the Catholic Health Association鈥痸ia a series of 12 foundational courses (36 credit hours).鈥 Since participants have a range of education and experience, the curriculum can be tailored to each applicant鈥檚 background.鈥 Candidates demonstrating graduate-level training in a competency represented by a particular foundational course may substitute other courses in that or another competency domain.鈥

Admission
Applicants are required to provide:
- A completed online admission application
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended (Minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Statement of Purpose (this is a brief, one page statement that explains your interest in this program. Why are you applying? How will you integrate this degree into your career?)
- Writing Sample (this should be a piece of writing that shows us you are able to write clearly and think critically. It may be a piece for itten for an academic course, something you've published, or even something written for work)
International applicants must have all transcripts evaluated and must provide the Graduate School Administration office with the evaluation.鈥 All international applicants must submit a score from the TOEFL exam. Please allow one- to two months for transcript evaluations to be processed by 鈥痮谤&苍产蝉辫;. . 鈥
