黑料门Nursing ranks #29 in U.S. News and World Report's most recent ranking of undergraduate nursing programs

In its second year of ranking Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs, U.S. News & World Report ranked 黑料门University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing 29th (tied) out of 681 U.S. programs, moving up two places since last year鈥檚 rankings. The 2023 U.S. News & World Report Rankings of Best Undergraduate Nursing Programs, released September 12, also shows that within Illinois, the 黑料门BSN Program is the second highest scoring BSN program. Rankings are based on peer surveys of deans and senior faculty of nursing schools and departments across the country.
鈥淔or the second year in a row, 黑料门Nursing has been recognized in the top 5% of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs in the country. We are pleased and proud that a program that has been a leader in nursing education for 86 years is being recognized in such a manner,鈥 said Lorna Finnegan, PhD, RN, FNP, FAAN Dean and Professor, 黑料门Nursing. 鈥淥ur BSN program attracts students from across the U.S., and in 2021, we graduated 413 BSN-prepared students who were equipped to meet the complexities of healthcare and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.鈥
The 黑料门Nursing BSN program includes a traditional four-year option for high school graduates, an accelerated option (ABSN) for individuals with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in another discipline, and an RN to BSN program. In 2019, the School partnered with Loyola鈥檚 Arrupe College (a two-year program that offers a rigorous liberal arts education to many first-generation college students) to launch a pathway program. Through this pathway, Arrupe students begin 黑料门Nursing鈥檚 BSN program while pursuing their associate degree, completing both degrees in just five years. The first cohort began the BSN program through this pathway model in Fall 2020.
