Inheritance Film Screening and Panel

 Feb. 19, 2025, 5-8 p.m.

ºÚÁÏÃÅUniversity Chicago Lake Shore Campus, Sister Jean MPR, Damen Student Center

The Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing is hosting a screening of the award-winning documentary , which examines the generational impact of the opioid epidemic and poverty in Appalachia. The screening will be followed by a ºÚÁÏÃÅNursing-led panel discussion with the film’s co-director and the young man whose struggle to break the cycle of substance abuse is captured in the movie.

Our panel will focus on the nursing profession’s pivotal role in addressing substance abuse and mental health. Because of the movie's broad focus on the social factors that impact wellbeing, alumni and guests from all ºÚÁÏÃÅschools are encouraged to attend.

Dinner will be provided. Please register

March 13, 2025, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

ºÚÁÏÃÅUniversity Chicago Health Sciences Campus, Maywood, IL

Reconnect with classmates, meet current faculty and students, and celebrate ºÚÁÏÃÅNursing's 90th anniversary! The event begins with welcome reception and "Explore Nursing" fair, followed by a program and closing dessert reception. 

Cost is $30 and includes food and drinks, and guests are welcome. Please register .
