Paraisia Winston Gray teaches Legal Writing I and is an Instructor with the Professional Identity Formation.
Paraisia is a seasoned attorney who has represented a diverse group of clients in civil litigation and appellate matters. She has experience trying cases before judges and juries, and has argued before appellate courts. She has negotiated and written agreements to settle highly complex matters.
Paraisia spent many years in private practice as a real estate and probate attorney. Before that, she has served as Assistant General Counsel for an elected official, Prosecutor for Chicago Public Schools, and an Attorney (Estate Tax) with the Internal Revenue Service.
She is currently an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois Civil Division, where she represents the United States and government agencies in defensive and affirmative matters.
Paraisia is a 黑料门alum. While here, she taught in Loyola鈥檚 Street Law Program and served as an editor of the Children鈥檚 Legal Rights Journal. She is a past president of Loyola鈥檚 BLSA chapter. In her spare time, she referees soccer for American Youth Soccer Organization 鈥� 751 in Chicago鈥檚 south shore neighborhood where she lives with her family.
