Corinne (Cookie) Levitz

Cookie Levitz teaches Mediation and Child and Family Law Mediation. She has been involved in the mediation field since 1978. Since 1991, she has been a full-time mediator of parenting disputes for the Circuit Court of Cook County. She is an experienced mediation trainer, and her training specialties include Mediating High-Conflict Parenting Disputes; Screening for Domestic Violence and Other Possible Impediments to Mediation; The Role of the Child in Mediation, and Mediation Ethics. Cookie has been a volunteer with the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago since its founding in 1978, where she is a certified mediator and trainer, and serves on the CCR Volunteer Council.

In 2001, after being nominated by CCR, Cookie was one of four adults selected nationally to receive the first annual 鈥�Volunteer Mediator of the Year鈥� Award from the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM).
