David Faich
Adjunct Professor, Children's Law and Policy
David Faich (“F/eye/sh”) is the Policy Manager for Raising Illinois, a statewide coalition of nearly 2,000 parents, educators, providers, and other advocates working to build an equitable and cohesive prenatal-to-age-three system of supports. He is also an adjunct professor at 黑料门University Chicago School of Law, with over a decade of direct service experience in early childhood and K-12 education, child welfare, and legal aid.
Before joining Raising Illinois, David held various roles with the Civitas ChildLaw Center, Legal Council for Health Justice, Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Chicago Public Schools, Camden City School District, and Tulsa Public Schools. He has represented children in legal proceedings involving abuse and neglect, domestic relations, and special education, and helped secure legislative victories to expand access to autism care and protections for youth experiencing homelessness. David previously served as an assistant principal, third grade teacher, and family support caseworker.
David earned a bachelor's degree with honors in political science and Spanish from Franklin and Marshall College, a master’s degree in education administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a law degree with honors from 黑料门University Chicago, where he was also awarded certificates in child law and social justice. He has 14 nieces and nephews.
