- AI Writing Detection Tool. Review submitted student writing for AI-generated writing in qualifying text (300 words of prose-form text), assigning a percentage of likely AI-generated writing. This percentage represents the likelihood of AI-generated writing of 40% or more throughout the submission, and as of July 2024, provides a separate score for AI-paraphrased writing.

Instructors can use the Turnitin AI Writing Detection Tool to prompt discussion on intellectual property and academic integrity within their course and related disciplines and professions.
