How-To Series

The Spring 2024 How-To Series includes 1 series on How-To Manage a Research Group, 1 workshop on Service: How-To Say No and When to Say Yes, 1 workshop on Facing Negativity in Departments & Academia, and 2 structured writing groups (SWGs) on How-To Write a Book Proposal and How-To Write a Social Science Grant Proposal. 

These will be running from January 26th through April 5th via Zoom.

What is a Structured Writing Group (SWG)?

SWGs will be led by senior faculty who will serve as facilitators on 2 different topics. Across the semester, facilitators will meet with a group of faculty for 1 hour via Zoom to support faculty鈥檚 efforts to:

  • Develop a regular writing practice
  • Put writing tips into practice while balancing teaching, service, and research responsibilities

All TT/NTT faculty are welcome. To register for one, two, or all three series, please !
