The Department of Classical Studies of 黑料门University Chicago is a member instititution of the following organizations:
- : the umbrella professional organization for North American classicists.
- : an organization of university, college, secondary and elementary teachers of Latin, Greek and all other studies which focus on the world of classical antiquity.
- : focuses on classics teaching in Illinois at both the collegiate and pre-collegiate level.
- : the oldest and largest U.S. overseas research center. A consortium of nearly 200 affiliated North American colleges and universities, the School provides graduate students and scholars a base for the advanced study of all aspects of Greek culture, from antiquity to the present day.

- : an organization of middle school and high school students - the largest Classical association in the world - sponsored by the American Classical League. Its purpose is to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome.
- : professional organization for college and university professors of ancient history.
- : The mission of the American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) is to initiate, encourage, and support research into, and public understanding of, the history and cultures of the Near East and wider Mediterranean world, from the earliest times.
Diversity and Inclusion
- : Founded in 1972, the WCC fosters feminist and gender-informed perspectives and strives to advance the goals of equality and diversity within the profession of Classics.
- : Founded in 1989, the LCC is a coalition of queer Classicists and their friends and supporters. Membership is free for students, retirees, and the un(der)employed.
- : Founded in 2016, MRECC raises awareness and supports the study of multiculturalism, race, and ethnicity in classics and classical archaeology at all levels. Membership is free.
- : Founded in 2018, this coalition is composed of students and scholars of the ancient Mediterranean world and its reception (broadly defined). Anyone who might be considered a member of a racial or ethnic group traditionally underrepresented in the field of Classical Studies is welcome to join, and membership is free.
- : Founded in 2019, the AAACC fosters the interests of students and scholars of classical antiquity who identify as Asian and Asian American by (1) promoting scholarship that explores issues of classical reception in Asian and Asian American culture and (2) striving to bring together the vibrant community of Asian and Asian American classicists. - : The purpose of the group is to bring together those scholars in the field who are working in various ways on social justice, using Classics. This work is a form of outreach that brings Classics out of the academy and returns it to the least privileged in our society.
- : This organization aims to support and promote ND (neurodiverse) and disabled teachers and students, primarily through activism within ancient history, ancient religions, Assyriology, classics, early Christianity, Egyptology, Judaic studies, late antiquity, medieval studies, Mediterranean archeology and art history, Near Eastern studies, and reception studies.
- : Founded in 2018, this is a Latin reading group for women that is dedicated to fostering community, practicing spoken Latin, and celebrating herstory. It works to close the gendered gap in Latinitas, and provide a space for women and non-binary Latinists to learn from each other.
- : This international scholarly organization highlighting Greco-Roman engagements throughout the Luso-Hispanic world.
