2025 Student Employment Awards 

Hundreds of students and more than a dozen organizations received awards and recognition during the university wide Celebration of Students’ Achievement, Scholarship and Creative Works and were recognized for their outstanding work throughout the school year. The Career Services office would like to announce the names of the students who won Student Employment Awards for this academic year.

    • Nusrat Kabir for Tutoring Chicago 
      • This award recognizes a student employee who clearly serves other people with a passion.
  • Ignatian Spirit Student Employment Team of the Year Award:
    • Matthew Edejer and Victoria Nolte for Campus Recreation
      • This award recognizes a team who work with the passion and dedication as if they live each day to "go forth and set the world on fire."
  • Cura Apostolica Person for Institution Award:
    • Blairlanee Bowden for Study Abroad Office
      • This award recognizes a student employee who demonstrates considerable care, commitment and supports the organization or institution where they are employed.
  • Core Element Award:
    • Matthew Edejer for Campus Recreation 
    • Giulianna Larsen for Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America
    • Drew Patterson for Accessibility Center 
      • This award recognizes three Student Employee of the Year finalists for their service and contributions to the ºÚÁÏÃÅcommunity.
  • The Student Employee of the Year Award:
    • Giulianna Larsen for Forging Opportunities Refugees in America 
      • This award recognizes one student employee for their outstanding contributions and achievements and who has made a positive impact on the university. 
  • The Gem Award:
    • Annie Keller for New Student Programs  
    • Callie Powers for Wellness Center  
      • This award recognizes two Student Employee Supervisor of the Year finalists for their service and contributions to the ºÚÁÏÃÅcommunity.
  • The Student Employee Supervisor of the Year Award:
    • Willie Andrew Gore for Student Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution 
      • This award recognizes one student employee supervisor who exemplifies mentoring, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to developing our student employees.
