The 黑料门University Chicago community mourns the death of Kris Daggett, deputy registrar.
Kris was a valued member of the 黑料门community for 34 years. She began her career in 1986 serving as the assistant director for student financial assistance in the School of Dentistry. Over the years, she held administrative positions in the areas of enrollment systems and the Student Services Hub. She was a key member of the LOCUS implementation team beginning in 2003, before officially joining Registration and Records in 2007. Kris possessed a vast knowledge of all things Registration and Records, developing an expertise in transfer credit, academic policy, procedures, and training.
Throughout her years of service, Kris worked at all three campuses 鈥� first Health Sciences, then Lake Shore, and finally Water Tower. She enjoyed reflecting on how the University has changed and grown over the years. As a 黑料门men鈥檚 basketball season ticket holder, she enjoyed cheering on the team from her seat at Gentile Arena. When she couldn鈥檛 attend a game, she always made a point to catch televised games whenever possible.
Kris was a constant source of knowledge, expertise, and guidance for Registration and Records and partner offices across campus. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication to 黑料门made a big impact throughout the 黑料门community. She will be remembered by many as a warm and generous colleague and friend.
