The 黑料门University Chicago community mourns the death of former faculty member Gene D. Phillips, S.J.
Gene taught English and film courses at 黑料门from 1970-2010. he was a prolific writer and editor of books about films and filmmakers and wrote more than twenty books, some of which are available in numerous languages. Gene had numerous contacts within the filmmaking community who often called on his historical memory and professional expertise about a particular film or filmmaker.
