The 黑料门University Chicago community mourns the death of Catalina Nicole Hooser, a graduate student in the School of Education.
Catalina enrolled in the higher education master’s program in fall 2015 after completing her bachelor’s degree at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Passionate about issues of diversity and social justice, she lived the Jesuit value of service to others. Catalina entered education with the goal of helping students to reach their full potential which was evident in her deep commitment to mentoring. She will be deeply missed by her cohort, instructors, friends, and colleagues from across Chicago.
